So far, 2020 has been unbelievable when it comes to new and exotic strains. On a recent trip to one of my favorite dispensaries in Portland, Oregon, Americanna RX, I came across a new flavor I’d yet to see in the Sour Bubble Live Resin from Buddies Brand out of the Rose City for $18 USD a gram. Buddies Brand is one of my favorite producers for vape cartridges so I was very excited to see what their actual extracts tasted like. Now, to give you a little background, Sour Bubble is an Indica bred by B.O.G. Seeds and was created by using their own BOG Bubble strain in a genius backcross. The results are said to be a heavy Indica that will keep you relaxed so I was more than ready to take her for a spin.
I decided to use my Toro Glass Bubbler for this session and upon opening the jar I was hit in the face with deep notes of Pine and Diesel. In regards to the consistency of this resin, the Sour Bubble was extremely saucy as I was easily able to grab a perfect sized dab. As soon as my nail made contact with the quartz banger I was able to taste her delicious notes of gas with a heavy pine finish. As soon as I exhaled, I was able to feel the SOur Bubble throughout my entire body. I wouldn’t call the Sour Bubble couchlock material but this gear had me baked for a solid two hours and probably isn’t for the rookies. I was able to function but I didn’t get much done. I also found the Sour Bubble Live Resin to be great for my chronic neck and back pains as they were virtually non-existent. I also found the strain to be great for my stress and anxiety.
At the end of the day, the Sour Bubble Live Resin was Cup level quality that had me smiling from ear to ear. In regards to her strength and potency, the Sour Bubble was heavy and had me completely ripped without being totally devastated. Two hits of this delicious girl had me chilling out on the couch for the entire night so for that reason I gave the Sour Bubble a score of 9.5/10 making her on of the top stoniness scores of 2020. When it came to her taste and pungency, the Sour Bubble was beyond flavorful as I could taste her thick notes of jet fuel and pine trees well after exhale so I gave her a score of 9.5/10. Overall, the Sour Bubble was the perfect strain for a late-night as she did the trick while also helping me to sleep like a baby so I was more than pleased. If you are lucky enough to find the Sour Bubble in your neck of the woods, don’t hesitate to pick some up as she is a keeper.
